Adopt a Dachshund (short coat)

Dachshund (short coat) Dog

Beau the Dog needs a home

Beau is a seasoned gentleman of 8 or 9 years, who was rescued from San Antonio Animal Control in 2012. He is a "bald" dachshund with a crooked stump of a tail who also had
heartworms when rescued. Beau's skin condition is probably a type of alopecia and he won't ever have hair. He has also suffered a couple of scary seizures, but the vet couldn't find any particular cause for them. Beau is also our resident daddy Doxie. All the girl-dogs and baby-dogs adore him! The guy-dogs aren't as fond of him, but maybe they are just jealous of all the attention he gets! Beau loves people and kids, and is very tender hearted. When his foster mom was sick in bed for several days last year, Beau would not leave her side.

Beau loves to go for walks when there's time, but he also likes sunning a bit by the pool, curling up beside you on the sofa for tv shows or the Spurs games, and sleeping in the big bed. He's such a sweet boy!
